AUTOMATION MECHANICAL DESIGNER

Job Summary

  • Provide concept designs for tooling and equipment based on sales quotations and customer supplied data
  • Accountable for finshed design requirements including solid models, detail and assembly drawings, BOM's to established standards
  • Provide an active role in design reviews with electrical engineering and machine build personnel
  • Daily interaction and technical support with key members

Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications

  • Engineering Technician/Technologist Diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years experience in mechanical design of automation assembly and welding cell equipment
  • Effecive knowledge of manufacturing practicesfor maching and fabrication
  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, hydraulics, servo motors, sensors, vision cameras, load cells
  • Strong communication skills to work within a team environment
  • Ability to multi-task and work with attention to detail and accuracy

Automation assembly developer

Job Summary

  • Proficient hands on build and development of automation projects for custom built weld and assembly systems
  • Coordination of resources throughout all phases of automation projects to onsite commissioning of equipment on customer's floor
  • Apply skilled manufacturing practices for fabrication, machining and assembly

Job Type/Category

Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with automation equipment
  • Strong knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to multi-task and work with attention to detail and accuracy

Welder/Fitter

Job Summary

  • Processes include: SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, SAW and GTAW
  • Plate fitting and working with blueprints
  • TSSA repair and alterations of boilers and pressure vessels
  • Fabricating and miscellaneous repair work

Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a welder/fitter
  • Capable of welding in a CWB Certified Shop
